     The dynasty continued in 2022 for the North Allegheny Cross Coun- try team as the boys team won their fifth straight WPIAL champion- ship and third straight state championship while the girls team won their fifth straight WPIAL championship and fifth straight state title.
The Tigers will have three all-state performers returning for the 2023 season. Jack Bertram was the 2022 PA Sophomore of the Year and looks to be one of the main runners on the 2023 squad. Seniors Micahel Gauntner and James Behrend will be looked upon for their leadership, and so far in the summer, have done a great job of bringing the younger kids along.
* WPIAL conference game
On the girls side, Wren Kucler was the 2022 PA Sophomore of
the Year and is expected to be a significant contributor on this team. Kucler, along with her sister Robin, participated in the New Balance Nationals meet in Philadelphia after the track season. Eva Kynaston was third-team all-state a season ago and will be a senior in 2023. Erin McGoey is another senior that will be put into more of a leadership role for the 2023 season and is a key returner.
Head Coach John Neff was named the 2022 PA Coach of the Year by PA Mile Split and USTFCCA. Coach Neff was also inducted into the PA High School Track & Field Hall of Fame in 2022.
