TRAINER
In 2019, the Patriots compiled a 43-20 record, won a share of the Missouri Valley Conference regular-season crown, and reached the finals of the Lubbock Regional. DBU’s sixth consecutive 40-win season placed them in elite company as they joined Florida State and Louisville as the only three teams in the nation to accomplish that feat.
Amongst the many highlights of the 2019 campaign was a glittering 24-7 record inside the friendly confines of Horner Ballpark. DBU knocked off the likes of #18 Texas A&M in front of the largest regular-season home crowd in school history and also boasted wins over #18 TCU and #24 Oklahoma.
Jordan Martinson set both the MD Johnson earned All-American honors after career strikeout record (276) going 10-2 with a 2.76 ERA.
and single-season record for
strikeouts (115) in 2019.
