FIND A WAY
 THE ROAD THROUGH THE POSTSEASON
DBU entered as the No. 3 seed at the Fort Worth Regional and faced three-time national champion Oregon State in game one. A 6-5 win over the Beavers set the stage for a matchup against the No. 6 team in the nation and cross-town rival, TCU Horned Frogs. In front of a crowd of 5,003, the Patriots overcame a 6-2 deficit in the bottom of the seventh to claim an 8-6 win and advance to the finals.
Following a loss to Oregon State in an elimination game for the Beavers, DBU and OSU met for the Fort Worth Regional Championship on June 7. Trailing 5-0 in the bottom of the sixth, a two-run home run from Ryan Wrobleski put the Patriots on the comeback trail and set the stage for one of the greatest moments in DBU Baseball history. Down by three runs in the bottom of the seventh, a grand slam from Andrew Benefield gave the Patriots the lead for good as DBU eventually claimed an 8-5 win to clinch the Fort Worth Regional Championship.

As one of the final 16 teams remaining in the NCAA postseason, DBU traveled to Columbia, South Carolina, to face the Virginia Cavaliers in the Columbia Super Regional with a ticket to the College World Series on the line. The Patriots claimed game one, 6-5, before eventually dropping the next two contests, 4-0 and 5-2. DBU’s postseason run culminated in a 41-18 record and saw the Patriots fall one win short of a trip to Omaha, Nebraska.
