VOLLEYBALL
WPIAL Champions | PIAA Champions
It was business as usual for the North Allegheny Girls Volleyball team as they posted another amazing season, compiling a 20-1 record. The Tigers won their 5th WPIAL title in the last 7 seasons and an unprecedented 7th straight PIAA Championship.
North Allegheny won their first 10 matches before falling to Landisville Hempfield in 4 sets in non-section action. In the regular season 8 of the 14 matches the Tigers played ended in sweeps.
North Allegheny would sweep Hempfield and Pine-Richland in the WPIAL quarterfinals and semifinals respectively before claiming the WPIAL Championship with a 3-1 win over Canon-Mc- Millan.
In the state playoffs the Tigers would sweep McDowell in the first round, take down Dallastown in 4 sets in the quarterfinals, get their revenge over Landisville Hempfield in a 5 set thriller in the PIAA Semifinals before finishing the year off with a sweep
of Unionville in the state championship.
