The North Allegheny Boys Water Polo team
had another strong year, winning the Western Con- ference Northern Division title, finished in second place in the Western Con- ference and posted a 14-7 record.
The Tigers opened the year with an 11-3 win over McDowell and posted a 1-1 record at both the Tiger Classic and Erie Challenge. They would defeat McDowell and Cathedral Prep before posting a 2-2 record at the Beast of the East and a 3-1 record at the Screaming Eagle Invitational.
At the state tournament North Allegheny would fall to North Penn and Muhlenberg before finishing the season with a 7-5 win over Cum- berland Valley in the seventh-place match.
On the girls side, it was a similar start as the North Allegheny Girls Water Polo team jumped out to a 3-3 record before winning 4 of their next 6 matches. The Tigers finished with an 8-7 regular season record but two wins at the Girls State Play-In Tournament would get North Allegheny into the state tournament.
At the state tournament, the Tigers fell in their first match to North Penn and a 11-10 heartbreaker against Wissahickon in their second match. Just like the boys, the Lady Tigers would finish the year with a 9-7 win over Muhlenberg in the seventh-place match. The girls would finish with a 15-9 record.
