WPIAL Runner-Up | PIAA Quarterfinalists
The 2022 North Allegheny boys soccer team had some growing pains with a young team and a new coach. The 2023 North Allegheny boys soccer team looked much dif- ferent returning experienced players and a team now comfortable with a new coaching system.
The Tigers would get off to a red hot start winning their first nine games of the regular season. North Allegheny would tie with Seneca Valley on September 19th but they
would keep the unbeaten streak alive all the way until the second meet- ing with Seneca Valley where the Tigers lost 2-0.
North Allegheny would finish the regular season with a 14-1-2 re- cord. The Tigers made quick work of Canon-McMillan in the WPIAL Quarterfinals rolling to a 6-1 victory, outlasted Butler in the WPIAL Semifinals with a 3-2 win and then fell to Norwin in a heart breaker in the WPIAL Championship contest in penalty kicks.
The Tigers had one more dramatic win in them during the first round of the state playoffs when they went on the road to State College and defeated the Little Lions 1-0 in double overtime. Their season came to a close when they were defeated by Central Bucks South in the PIAA Quarterfinal Round.
