GIRL’S
GOLF
After a WPIAL runner-up and finishing in 3rd place in the state team finals in 2022, North Allegheny had a roster with new faces and golfers that didn’t have experience at the varsity level.
Things started off on a down note with two close losses to Mt. Leba- non and Fox Chapel but that was followed by a win against Blackhawk.
The Tigers lost 9 of their first 10 matches but there was progress as the North Allegheny girls finished the 2023 season on a 5-match winning streak and a top-10 team finish at the McDowell Trojan Invitational.
Despite not making the postseason in 2023, there is a much hope for the 2024 girls golf season as the Tigers have a core of young golfers returning that gained valuable varsity experience this season.
Individually, senior Megan Manesiotis took third place at the section qualifier, 7th place at the WPIAL Championships and an 18th place finish at the PIAA Championships.
