13-4 Record | 4th place finisher in WPIAL
The 2023 North Allegheny boys golf team had a lot of players returning and were able to take the next step and get to the WPIAL Team Finals, where they finished in fourth place.
It was another great start to the North Allegheny season as the Tigers won 10 of their first 11 matches. There was a slight lull in the season as North Allegheny dropped two heartbreakers in the middle of the season, each by one stroke, but the Tigers would bounce back and finish the regular season on a 3-match winning streak against Seneca Valley, Mars and Shady Side Academy.
North Allegheny competed in the Fox Chapel Invitational to prepare for the postseason. After a WPIAL Team Semifinals appearance a year
ago, North Allegheny left no doubt after this time, finishing in first place in the WPIAL Team Semifinals, punching their ticket to the WPIAL Team Finals. In the WPIAL Team Finals, North Allegheny would finish in fourth place to end the 2023 season.
Individually, North Allegheny had six golfers qualify for the WPIAL Individual Championships including Jacob Phrampus, Ravi Desai, Colin Ward, Jake Watterson, Chris Hoffman and Colin Rende. Ravi Desai finished in ninth place at the WPIAL Individual Championships, earning him a place in the for the PIAA State Individual Champion- ships, where he would finish in 14th place.
