   PREVIEW
  BOY’S
 GOLF
The North Allegheny boys’ golf team returned to the playoffs in 2022 after missing out by just a couple of strokes in 2021. The Tigers graduated three seniors from last year’s playoff team but bring back the bulk of the roster for 2023.
Junior Chris Hoffman is the top returnee, after fin- ishing in 12th at the WPIAL Individual Championships. He also gained valuable expe- rience at the PIAA Individual

Championships. Now as an upperclassman, head coach Pat Niven is looking for Hoffman to continue to be a quiet leader for the 2023 season.
Some JV players from a season ago could be making the jump to the varsity roster as the North Allegheny Boys Golf JV team had a strong 2022, going 15-2 overall and winning the Suncrest Cup.
This is a relatively young team that now has some playoff experi- ence under their belt. It will be another tough year in the section, but a difficult section could benefit the Tigers in their preparation for the playoffs.
