SOCCER
The North Allegheny boys’ soccer team saw a young squad grow during the 2022 season and are primed to make a run in the upcoming season.
The Tigers got off to a blistering start in the 2022 season going 5-1-1 in the first seven games. When section play began, however, the Tigers continued to play well but were edged several times with six one-goal defeats. The narrow losses mounted, preventing NA from reaching the WPIAL playoffs for the first time in over a decade.
Down the stretch, North Allegheny battled to two 1-0 losses against eventual WPIAL Champion, Pine-Richland, and two one-goal losses to eventual state champion, Seneca Valley.
Ben Christian led the Tigers in scoring with five goals on the year. The Tiger defense posted seven shutouts during the season.
