2022 WPIAL Semifinalists
In 2022, the North Allegheny boys’ golf team reached the WPIAL playoffs for the first time since 2016. A young team that narrowly missed the postseason by only a couple of strokes the year before, got off to a hot start last season by beginning the campaign with a 6-1 record.
The Tigers finished with a 7-3 mark in section play, which was good for second place in the section and clinched a playoff spot.
At the WPIAL Class 3A semifinals, North Allegheny came in fourth place but was just four strokes shy of qualifying for the WPIAL Team Championship.
Individually, Chris Hoffman finished in 12th place at the WPIAL Championships which qualified him for the PIAA Individual Cham- pionship. Hoffman shot a total score of 154 (+10) at states, which was good for 32nd place at the event.
