2023 WPIAL Quarterfinalists
The North Allegh- eny boys’ lacrosse team enjoyed another successful season in WPIAL 3A action. Despite a loaded schedule, the team was able to run the table in Section 2 (7-0) to secure back-to-back section titles.
LSM Marco Pascarella (University of Utah) and attack Marc Bartolo- mucci (Saint Leo University.) Bartolomucci led the team with 39 goals for the year. Fellow senior Christian Tedder started the season injured, but was still able to register 20 goals in his final games as a Tiger.
Non-conference action was rocky to start but North Allegheny quickly attained the right team chemistry to make a playoff push. The Tigers rode a five-game win streak halfway through the campaign to put them back on track. Major section wins over Shady
Side Academy, Pine-Richland, Seneca Valley and Fox Chapel helped them secure the No. 3 seed in the WPIAL playoffs behind Peters Township and Mt. Lebanon. NA earned a first-round bye but fell in an overtime loss to No. 6 Upper St. Clair in the WPIAL Quarterfinals.
