GOLF
2022 WPIAL Finalists, 2022 PIAA 3rd Place Finisher
It was another outstanding season for the 2022 North Allegheny girls’ golf team. Not only did North Allegheny return to the WPIAL Team Championship for a second consecutive season, but they made it a step farther by reaching the team state finals for the first time since 2018.
It was a dominant regular season for the Lady Tigers as they jumped out to a 6-0 start before being tripped up by Seneca Valley. Following the loss to the Raiders, North Allegheny went on to win 10 straight matches before falling to Peters Township in the regular season finale.
It was Peters Township who was able to triumph over the Lady Tigers once again in the WPIAL Team Championship, edging NA by just two strokes.
At the PIAA Team Championships, North Allegheny carded an im- pressive third-place finish behind Pheonixville and Peters Township.
Individually, Katie Rose Rankin reached the PIAA Individual Cham- pionships where she finished in the top 10.
