WPIAL Champions | PIAA Champions
The 2024 season saw the North Allegheny girls volleyball team win their 6th WPIAL Championship in 8 seasons and 8th consecutive state championship. The 8 straight state titles ties the state-record for most consecutive state championships in girls’ volleyball set by Norwin who won 8 in a row from 1976-1983.
The regular season was business as usual for the Tigers as they won their first 14 matches. They had some scares in that win streak especially from September 24 to October 3 where they went to 5 sets in 3 of 4 matches but won them all. NA would drop the final match of the regular season to finish with a 14-1 record.
In the WPIAL playoffs, North Allegheny swept Armstrong before beating Upper St. Clair in 5 sets and North Catholic in 4 sets to claim WPIAL gold.
The PIAA playoffs were much smoother for the Tigers as they swept Manheim Township and Landisville Hempfield and beat Bishop Shanahan and Spring-Ford in 4 sets to claim their 8th straight state title.
