SOCCER
of the EBAL, provided glimpses of the potential for the Patriots. That
potential was realized during league play, when Heritage surged to a 6-3-1 mark, including a sweep of Freedom for the first time since 2016. The late season push resulted in a playoff berth for the Patriots, where they fell to top-seeded De La Salle.
Senior Conrad Faulkner proved himself to be the most versatile player in the BVAL, leading Heritage with five goals and four assists, while also spending a majority of time as an anchor for the Patriots’ back- line. Bellal Nabkel contributed four goals, while Hatim Abumailish had a team-high five assists during the season.
A tough non-league schedule prepared the Heritage boys soc- cer team for BVAL action, leading to a second-place finish in league play and a berth in the North Coast Section Division 1 playoffs.
A non-league split with Dublin and a draw with Foothill, both perennially strong programs out
