THE PATRIOTS’ JOURNEY TO THE SUPER REGIONALS
The 2021 DBU Baseball season will long be remembered as one of the most historic seasons in program history. Coming off a year in which the Patriots’ hopes of their seventh consecutive trip to the NCAA postseason were dashed when the 2020 College Baseball season was canceled in mid-March due to the COVID-19 global pandemic, DBU entered 2021 with a feeling of unfinished business.
With 24 lettermen returning from the previous year’s team, DBU set their sights on a year unlike any other. Five Patriots seniors elected to return for a fifth season after the NCAA granted a waiver for an extra year of eligibility and the presence of Austin Bell, Christian Boulware, Jackson Glenn, Kragen Kechely, and Andres Sosa help set the stage for DBU’s historic run to the postseason.
