WPIAL Champions
After falling in the WPIAL Championship in 2023, North Allegheny got their revenge taking home WPIAL gold for the 9th time ever in the 2024 season. The title was the 2nd in the last four seasons and the Tigers became the first WPIAL school to win nine district titles.
North Allegheny got off to a great start winning their first nine games of the season including conference sweeps over Butler and Allderdice. The Tigers dropped two games to Plum and Cumberland Valley before taking two out of three in a big conference series against Seneca Valley.
It came down to the final series of the season between North Allegh- eny and Pine-Richland for the section title and Pine-Richland would take two out of three in the series.
North Allegheny would bounce back to beat a good Shaler team in extra innings before falling to eventual 5A WPIAL Champion, Penn-Trafford, to end the regular season.
The Tigers shutout Norwin in the WPIAL Quarterfinals before getting their revenge against Pine-Richland in extra innings in the WPIAL Semifinals. North Allegheny was down to their last out before tying the game in the 7th and winning it in the 8th.
After losing in the WPIAL Championship to Mt. Lebanon in 2023, the Tigers would give the Blue Devils a dose of their own medicine defeating them 1-0 in the 2024 WPIAL Championship. North Alleghe- ny’s season would come to an end in the first round of the state playoff when they lost 2-0 to Wilson.
