WPIAL Runner-up
It was another successful year for the North Allegheny girls basketball team as the 2023- 2024 squad got back to the WPIAL Championship for the 8th time in the last 9 seasons.
The Tigers lost only four games all season, three of them coming to section rival Norwin, twice in the regular season, then in the WPIAL Championship game.
North Allegheny finished with a 23-4 record marking the 11th straight season that the the Tigers were able to eclipse 20 wins.
The Tigers escaped the WPIAL Quarterfinals defeating Upper St. Clair 44-41, put together an impressive defensive performance against Peters Township in the WPIAL Semifinals, winning 43-30 before falling to Norwin in the WPIAL Championship.
North Allegheny would bounce back in the first round of the state tournament beating Erie High by a score of 57-23 before falling to North Penn in the state second round, 56-54 in overtime on a buzzer beater.
