ROWING
The 2023 North Allegheny rowing team opened their spring season at the Lake Huron Sprints in Kensington, MI. The Girls Varsity 4x placed first, the Boys Varsity 4x came in second place while the Boys JV 4x ended up in third place. The Girls Varsity 2x came in second while the Boys Varsity 2x took third place.
The Tigers next event was the Pittsburgh Sprints at Moraine State Park and it was a dominant showing from North Allegheny as they claimed 12 golds, 10 silvers and 6 bronze medals for a total of 28 med- als in 32 events.
After the Pittsburgh Sprints, North Allegheny returned to Kensing- ton, MI for the Midwest Scholastic Rowing Championships. The Boys Varsity 4x and the Girls Varsity 4x both took third place at this event.
It was off to Philadelphia, PA after the Midwest Scholastic Rowing Championships to compete in the Stotesbury Cup Regatta which is the world’s largest scholastic regatta. The Girls Varsity 4x would get to the Grand Final and finished in fifth place just 0.6 seconds over the sixth place finisher.
