    WATER POLO
2022 Boys Western Conference, North Division Champions
 Both North Allegheny Water Polo teams had successful 2022 seasons as they both finished top 10 in the state.
The North Allegheny Boys Water Polo team could not have started the season any better as they won their first 11 games of the season before falling to powerhouse Brunswick 17-10 at the Beast of the East Tournament.
The Boys Water Polo team would finish the regular season with a 16-3 record. In the state championship tournament, North Allegh- eny defeated Governor Mifflin in the opener, 20-9. The Tigers fell to Wilson, 12-10, in the state semifinals but bounced back to defeat Wissahickon, 19-13, in the third-place consolation game. The third- place finish was the best finish for North Allegheny Boys water polo since 2018.
The North Allegheny Girls Water Polo team had a great start to the season as well winning their first five games of the season before falling at the Screamin’ Eagle Tournament.
The Lady Tigers boasted an 11-7 record going into the state champi- onship tournament. North Allegheny fell in the opener, 11-6, against Wilson. The Tigers bounced back to beat Upper Dublin, 15-13, a team they had lost to 14-5 earlier in the season. North Allegheny’s final game of the season was a 13-6 loss against Muhlenburg in the fifth-place consolation game. They finished with a 12-9 overall record.
