Highlights in History:
• 1867 -- Allentown Female College opens Sept. 5 (Founders Day) at Zion Reformed Church with 15 students.
• 1915 -- After the outbreak of World War I had delayed building construction, president William Curtis relocates the college to Cedar Bluff (a barren cornfield in west Allentown) and renames the institution Cedar Crest College.
• 1944 -- Cooperative nursing and medical technology programs are 2 years old and CCC receives approval by American Medical Association.
• 1967 -- The college celebrates 100 years! The new Science Center is a year old.
• 2017 – College celebrated 150th anniversary.
Key Athletic Success
in the CSAC:
• Softball won its first-ever CSAC title in 2021
• Cross Country captured its first-ever CSAC title in 2021
• Volleyball has won back-to-back CSAC titles (2021, 2022)
• Athletic Department posted its highest finish in the CSAC President’s Cup (Second, 2021-22) with two conference championships and two conference runner-up finishes.
• Athletic Department won three-straight CSAC Institutional Academic Award. Given annually to the institution whose student-athletes, while competeing in CSAC-sponsored sports, achieve the highest combined grade-point average for that academic year.

and experience.
