Boys & Girls WPIAL Champions | Girls PIAA Champions
It was another successful year for the North Allegheny Boys Cross Country team as they won all dual meets, went undefeated in section play and had two top three finishes at the Boardman Invitational and PIAA Foundation Meets plus a team victory at the Tri-State TSTCA Meet. The season finished with the Tigers winning their 6th straight WPIAL Championship and a top-10 finish at the state finals coming in 6th place overall.
The North Allegheny Girls Cross Country team had another historic run as they rolled through the regular season without a close meet in section play, won the Boardman Invitational, the PIAA Foundation meet and the Tri-State TSTCA Meet team titles along with winning their 6th straight WPIAL Championship and their 6th straight state
title. The state title was the 10th in program history. After the state title meet the Lady Tigers entered the Nike Cross Country Nationals where they would finish in fifth place making them one of the top five teams in the country for 2023.
Individually, Jack Bertram was named First-Team All-State along with Junior of the Year in Pennsylvania. John Neff was named PA Girls Coach of the Year and the girls varsity team was named the Team of the Year. Eva Kynaston was tabbed First-Team All-State and the PA Most Valuable Runner. Wren Kucler was also named First-Team All-State along with being the Junior of the Year. Robin Kucler was named Sec- ond-Team All-State while Erin McGoey made Third-Team All-State.
