 GRADUATE ASSISTANTS & TRAINING STAFF
    David Trevino is serving his eighth year as Director of Athletic Performance for Dallas Baptist University. Coach Trevino oversees a team of five athletic performance coaches on staff, the 5,000 square foot Athletic Training Center, and the general physical preparation for all 12 of DBU’s Lone Star Conference sports teams and four club sports teams. Coach Trevino works directly with the Basketball, Women’s Soccer, Volleyball, and Cheer/STUNT programs. He takes pride in having positive relationships with his athletes and coaches and understands that working together while navigating the process of pursuing sports mastery is where

Dave also serves as a Kinesiology adjunct instructor for the DBU College of Education, teaching Periodization Training, Essentials of Strength & Conditioning, Biomechanics and Fitness for Living courses.
Before joining DBU, Dave was the assistant director for the University of North Texas Strength and Conditioning Department (2011-2016). During his tenure with UNT he coached, designed, and implemented athletic performance programs for football, softball, soccer, men’s & women’s track and field, men’s & women’s cross country, and the swimming and diving team.
Before joining the North Texas Strength and Conditioning staff, Trevino spent the previous year as a strength and conditioning assistant coach for the New York Jets (2010-2011).
Dave completed his Master of Science in Kinesiology at Texas A&M from August 2007 through December 2009. During his stint with the Aggies, he committed much time as a graduate student intern with the strength and conditioning department.
Coach Trevino first called Denton home when he began his undergraduate degree at UNT in 2003. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of North Texas in 2007.
Dave also holds a Precision Nutrition - Level 1 Certification (2017) and a BioForce – Certified Conditioning Coach (2018).
Coach Trevino calls Midlothian home and lives there with his wife, Brittiny, and their two children, Jesse and Josie. David and Brittiny are members at Stonegate Church in Midlothian.
 Caleb Young enters his first season as a Graduate Assistant Coach for DBU Men’s Basketball. Young comes to the Patriots from Hardin-Simmons University, where he served as Assistant Coach for two seasons. At Hardin-Simmons, Young served as a Student Assistant Coach for Men’s
Basketball for three seasons before being promoted into the full-time Assistant role before his senior year. During the 2020-21 season, Young was named the TABC Small College Student Assistant of the Year after being nominated by his Head Coach Matt Brackett. During his five-year tenure, Young assisted in all assets of the program, with his primary responsibilities being recruiting, scouting reports, and community service coordination. Young was part of two conference tournament finalist teams at HSU, qualifying for the ASC tournament all five seasons.
Young earned his Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, Fitness and Recreation and is pursuing a Master’s in Sports Management. Young is a Dallas native, born and raised in DeSoto.
  Graduate Assistant Coach Caleb Young
Clayton Stockett is in his tenth year at Dallas Baptist University as the Assistant Athletic Trainer and works primarily with the Men’s Basketball team. Stockett also works with the Men’s and Women’s Golf teams. Before returning to DBU, Stockett spent three years at Oklahoma Baptist University. While at OBU, Stockett gained work experience covering a variety of sports, including Volleyball, Women’s Basketball, and Lacrosse.
Stockett is an active member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA), Southwest Athletic Trainers’ Association (SWATA), and the Texas State Athletic Trainers Association (TSATA).
He also has certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine as a Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES), Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES), and is a certified L-1 Dry Needling provider through Structure & Function.
Stockett graduated from Union University in 2008, receiving his Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training. In 2011, he graduated from DBU with a Masters of Education in Kinesiology and was the graduate assistant athletic trainer for the men’s basketball team.
Stockett and his wife, Jennifer, and daughters, Caroline and Stella, live in Midlothian, Texas, with their dog Baxter and are members of Stonegate Church in Midlothian.

Hayden White enters his second season as a Graduate Assistant Coach for the DBU Men’s Basketball team. Before he arrived at DBU, White worked as a student assistant for the Henderson State Men’s Basketball team for four seasons. While at Henderson State, White assisted in player
development, film, and scouting reports and was part of the 2019-2020 team that won the GAC Conference Tournament.
White draws inspiration from his father, who coaches at Bentonville West High School in Centerton, Arkansas.
White earned his Bachelor’s degree in the Science of Education with an emphasis on Health and Physical Education at Henderson State University and is pursuing a Masters in Business Administration.
