  February 23, 2013
Senior Duncan McAlpine hit for the cycle as part of a 24-hit attack in a 24-3 win over Mississippi Valley State. McAlpine tripled in his first at-bat of the day, followed by a double and a single. His home run in the seventh inning gave him the cycle. McAlpine finished the day by going 4-for-5 with four RBI.

Facing the 10th ranked Oklahoma Sooners, three freshman Patriot pitchers combined to shutout Oklahoma in a 2-0 win. Cory Taylor worked 5.0 scoreless innings, striking out seven before Brandon Koch and Joseph Shaw came out of the pen to close out the Sooners over the final four innings.

No. 20 DBU rolled past Baylor in a 17-3 win over the Bears. The Patriot offense totaled 20 hits and seven Patriots recorded multi-hit games. DBU also handed Baylor their worst loss since the Bears fell by a 15-run margin to LSU on June 8, 2003, in the Baton Rouge Regional.

In a match-up between No. 13 DBU and No. 4 TCU, the Patriots jumped out to a 3-0 lead through the first three innings and held on for a 6-4 win over the Horned Frogs. Daniel Salters led the Patriot offensive attack with three RBI and Brandon Koch closed out the game, striking four in 1.1 innings to earn his 11th save.

In front of the largest crowd in Horner Ballpark history, No. 13 DBU defeated Texas in an elimination game at the Dallas Regional. Cory Taylor pitched his first career complete game, striking out nine Longhorn batters, while Justin Walk went 3-for-3 at the plate with a home run and six RBI. Camden Duzenack and Daniel Salters also had three-hit days to pace a Patriot attack that totaled 16 hits.

After a win over Texas earlier in the day, DBU staved off elimination in the Dallas Regional with a 7-1 win over No. 17 Oregon State in the nightcap at Horner Ballpark. Justin Wallcontinuedhisonslaughtattheplate,blastinghissecondhomerunoftheday. On the mound, Sean Stutzman allowed just one run over 5.2 innings and struck out seven before giving way to Drew Smith, who shutout the Beavers over 3.1 innings.

No. 13 DBU advanced to the Dallas Regional Championship after a 2-1 win over Virginia Commonwealth. FreshmanDaltonHigginsworked4.1inningsandsurrenderedjust one run, while Brandon Koch came on in relief in the fifth inning and struck out seven batters in 4.2 innings to earn the win.

Darick Hall blasted four home runs in a 17-1 win over Incarnate Word, becoming just the fourth player in school history to hit four home runs in a game. Hall finished his career day at the plate by going 5-for-5 with seven RBI and four runs scored.

DBU left-hander Colin Poche struck out a career-high 14 batters in a 9-5 win over Missouri State. Poche, who would go on to be named the Missouri Valley Conference Pitcher of the Year in 2016, allowed just three runs over 6.0 innings and did not surrender a walk.
February 26, 2017
Trailing 6-4 in the 11th inning against New Mexico, Tim Millard delivered a three-run walk-off home run over the wall in left field to cap of a series win over the Lobos. Millard’s blast capped off a dramatic comeback that saw DBU rally after giving up a three-run lead in the ninth inning and then surrendering two runs in the 11th.

In a Lone Star showdown between No. 25 DBU and No. 4 Texas Tech, the Patriots rallied from a 5-4 deficit going into the bottom of the eight to claim a 6-5 win over the Red Raiders. MacGregor Hines came on in relief to shutout Texas Tech over the final three innings and allowed just one hit while striking out seven.

Senior right-hander MD Johnson set the program’s Division I record with 15 strikeouts in a 12-2 win over Houston Baptist. Johnson took a no-hitter into the seventh inning before allowing his only hit in a game that was decided in seven innings.

In their first-ever game at Horner Ballpark, DBU defeated No. 18 Texas A&M, 5-4. Christian Boulware, Bryce Ball, and Blaye Jones each homered for the Patriots in the win over the Aggies. Leading by a run going into the seventh inning, Kragen Kechely shutout out A&M for two innings before handing the ball to closer Burl Carraway to finish off the Aggies in the ninth.
   Duncan McAlpine became the first player in Horner Ballpark history to hit for the cycle when he accomplished the rare feat on February 23, 2013.
In front of the largest crowd in Horner Ballpark history, Cory Taylor threw a complete game to lift DBU to a win over Texas in the 2015 Dallas Regional.
In wins over both Texas and Oregon State in the same day of the 2015 Dallas Regional, Justin Wall went 4-for-7 with two home runs and eight RBI.
  On March 22, 2016, Darick Hall became the first player in Horner Ballpark history to hit four home runs in a game.
