The Patriot Broadcasting Network enters its 11th season of covering DBU Basketball. The broadcast team of Reagan Ratcliff and Jason Lippert bring all the live play- by-play action to Patriots’ Basketball fans with a live video broadcast of all 14 DBU home games.
Fans can catch all the action of the 2022-2023 season online on the Lone Star Conference Digital Network. Coverage of DBU Basketball begins 15 minutes prior to each game with Patriots’ Countdown to Tip-Off, hosted by Ryan Wilson.
Ratcliff began his sports broadcasting career in college at Baylor University, where he served as the Sports Director for KWBU in 1997. Following graduation, Ratcliff was named the Director of Broadcasting for the Oakland Athletics Short-Season A Team in Medford, Oregon. In 2000, Ratcliff returned to Waco, Texas, where he called Baylor Baseball for the next two seasons. Ratcliff would eventually transition from broadcasting to coaching at the high school ranks for eight years, before returning to the broadcast booth with DBU in 2012.
Lippert enters his first season as the color analyst for DBU Basketball. Additionally, Lippert serves as the host of the DBU Baseball Warm-Up Show and recently completed his third season as the play-by-play broadcaster for
DBU Volleyball. Alongside his contributions for DBU Athletics, Lippert carries over five years of experience
in the sports media industry as a sportswriter and podcast host. Jason graduated with a master’s degree in Sports Communications from Dallas Baptist University in December of 2021.
This year, the Patriot Broadcasting Network will continue their work with the Horner Communications Department and their video production of DBU Basketball. Along with the efforts of Will King, DBU’s Program Director
of Broadcast/Digital Media, Dallas Baptist University provides fans with one of the finest video productions of college basketball in the nation.
