 GRADUATE ASSISTANTS & TRAINING STAFF
   DAVE TREVINO IS SERVING HIS SEVENTH YEAR (2016-PRESENT) AS DIRECTOR OF ATHLETIC PERFORMANCE FOR DALLAS BAPTIST UNIVERSITY. COACH TREVINO OVERSEES A TEAM OF FIVE ATHLETIC PERFORMANCE COACHES ON STAFF, THE 5,000 SQUARE FOOT ATHLETIC TRAINING CENTER, AS WELL AS THE PHYSICAL PREPARATION FOR ALL 12 OF DBU’S LONE STAR CONFERENCE SPORTS TEAMS.
Coach Trevino works directly with the Basketball,
Women’s Soccer, Volleyball and Cheer/STUNT programs. He is a BioForce – Certified Conditioning Coach (2018), Precision Nutrition - Level 1 Certified (2017) and also serves as a kinesiology adjunct instructor for the DBU College of Education teaching Periodization Training, Essentials of Strength & Conditioning and Fitness
for Living courses.
Prior to joining DBU, Dave served as the assistant director for the University of North Texas Strength and Conditioning Department (2011-2016). During his tenure with UNT he coached, designed and implemented athletic performance programs for football, softball, soccer, men’s & women’s track and field, men’s & women’s cross country and the swimming and diving team.
Before joining the North Texas Strength and Conditioning staff, Trevino spent the previous year as a strength and conditioning assistant coach for the New York Jets (2010-2011). While with the Jets, Dave worked hand in hand with the other three other strength coaches on staff, planning and implementing all aspects of the team’s year round strength and conditioning program.
Prior to working with the Jets, Coach Trevino served as a graduate student intern with the Mean Green from August 2009 through February 2010. While on staff he worked hands on with all of the Mean Green athletic teams, learning the ins and outs of all 13 varsity programs.
Dave completed his Masters of Science degree in Kinesiology at Texas A&M from August 2007 through December 2009. During his stint with the Aggies he committed a great deal of time as a graduate student intern with the strength and conditioning department. He worked with multiple sports including football, men’s basketball, men’s and women’s track & field, men’s and women’s cross country, volleyball, soccer, softball, men’s and women’s golf, and men’s and women’s swimming and diving. While at A&M Coach Trevino completed a 640 hour hands-on mentorship and became professionally certified through the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association - SCCC (2008).
Dave has also received experience training numerous types of athletes while serving as a strength and conditioning intern at the following private training facilities: Mike Boyle Strength and Conditioning (2008), Athletes’ Performance (2007), and Velocity Sports Performance (2006-2007).
Coach Trevino first called Denton home when he began his undergraduate degree at UNT in 2003. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from the University of North Texas in 2007. After completion of his degree Coach Trevino became certified through the National Strength and Conditioning Association – CSCS (2007).
Coach Trevino currently resides in Midlothian with his wife, Brittiny and their two children Jesse and Josie. David and Brittiny are members at Stonegate Church in Midlothian.

   Graduate Assistant Coach Hayden White
HAYDEN WHITE ENTERS HIS FIRST SEASON AS A GRADUATE ASSISTANT COACH FOR THE DBU MEN’S BASKETBALL TEAM. WHITE RECENTLY WORKED AS A STUDENT ASSISTANT FOR THE HENDERSON STATE MEN’S BASKETBALL TEAM FOR FOUR SEASONS.
At Henderson, White assisted in player development, film, and scouting reports. White was a part of the 2019-2020 Henderson team that went on to win the GAC Conference Tournament.
White draws inspiration from his father, who coaches at Bentonville West High School in Centerton, Arkansas.
White earned his Bachelor’s degree in the Science of Education with an emphasis on Health and Physical Education at Henderson State University and is currently pursuing a Masters in Business Administration.
CLAYTON STOCKETT IS IN HIS NINTH YEAR AT DALLAS BAPTIST UNIVERSITY AS THE ASSISTANT ATHLETIC TRAINER AND WILL WORK PRIMARILY WITH THE MEN’S BASKETBALL TEAM AND ALSO WORKS WITH THE MEN’S AND WOMEN’S GOLF TEAMS. Prior to returning to DBU, Stockett spent the three years at Oklahoma Baptist University. While at OBU, Stockett gained work experience covering a variety of sports including: Volleyball, Women’s Basketball and Lacrosse.
Stockett is an active member in the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA), Southwest Athletic Trainers’ Association (SWATA) and the Texas
State Athletic Trainers Association (TSATA). He also has certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine as a Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES), Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES), and is a certified L-1 Dry Needling provider through Structure & Function.
Stockett graduated from Union University in 2008, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training. In 2011, he graduated from DBU with a Masters of Education in Kinesiology, while also serving as the graduate assistant athletic trainer for the men’s basketball team.
Stockett and his wife, Jennifer, and daughters, Caroline and Stella, live in Midlothian, Texas with their dog Baxter and are members of Stonegate Church in Midlothian.
