THREE PATRIOTS SELECTED IN MLB DRAFT
At the conclusion of the 2022 season, DBU saw three players selected in the Major League Draft. Sophomore right-handed pitcher Jacob Meador was the program’s highest draft pick after being taken by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 12th round. Chandler Arnold, a junior right-handed pitcher, went in the following round to the St. Louis Cardinals. In the 20th and final round, Patriot redshirt sophomore utility player Ryan Wrobleski was selected by the Houston Astros.
This year’s MLB Draft marked the 12th consecutive year that DBU saw multiple players selected. It was also the 10th time in the last 12 years in which three or more Patriots went in the draft. Dating back to 2015, DBU’s 41 players selected in the MLB Draft is the 15th-highest total in all of college baseball.
